As mentioned yesterday, tonight is Hans Zimmer, arguably my favorite musician ever. Similar to John Williams for the generation or two before me, I grew up with his music and it's cemented itself into my brain in so many ways. He's scored many of my favorite movies (Inception, The Dark Knight, Dune Part 2), as well as the video game that (for better or worse) was a huge part of my life in middle/high school, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. For a game about relentlessly killing other people, it had plenty of emotion and showed me how music adds so much to any moment. It was that game that got me into film music and it's a shame (though understandable) that he won't play any pieces from it.

Concert aside, I'm looking forward to exploring the city a bit with Eva. My parents and I came here years ago for a baseball game and we all really liked the city, especially along the water near Camden yards. Assuming my wallet isn't fried by this point, I gotta find somewhere to get a nice crab feast...
